Services and Capabilities of the EPF Engineering Team

Piping Engineering Team

Piping Engineering

The piping team has vast experience in oil, gas and infrastructure. Together with metals and mining as well as water systems. Their experience was obtained in pre-FEED, FEED, Basic, detail design and construction assistance in these sectors which include metal and non-metal piping systems.

Process Engineering Team

Process Engineering

The process team obtained vast experience in oil and gas, infrastructure, metals and mining. The team’s experience was obtained in pre-FEED, FEED, Basic and detail design in these sectors. This includes compressible and non-compressible fluids.

Mechanical Engineering Team

Mechanical Engineering

The mechanical team’s experience ranges from oil and gas, infrastructure to metals and mining. Expertise was obtained in pre-FEED, FEED, Basic, detail design and construction assistance in these sectors. Their knowledge includes various kinds of pressure vessels, tanks, and conveyors.

Civil Engineering Team

Civil Engineering

Our civil engineering department specialises in conducting civil engineering solutions that integrate with other engineering disciplines. These solutions ensure compatibility of civil infrastructure to that of other utilities and equipment. Capabilities of this department include, but are not limited to, concrete superstructures, foundation structures, extensive bulk earthworks design and stormwater management. Our team develops full engineering solutions that start from feasibility investigations to concept development. And ultimately to detailed engineering and site support. EPF Engineering prides itself in using the latest technologies available to develop full 3D models of projects. We also use the latest in 3D Lidar Scanning technology to survey all our project sites with millimetre precision.

Structural Engineering Team

Structural Engineering

The structural engineering department at EPF Engineering is geared to provide purpose fit and customer-specific structural design for light to heavy industrial and commercial structures. Our structural engineering team assists clients with achieving the most suitable steel structures, concrete structures and/or composite structures. This is done through feasibility and concept phase design, basic and detailed engineering. Our structural engineers also provide site and installation assistance to ensure the final implementation of structures are achieved according to industry standards. Like all our other engineering disciplines, the structural engineering team utilises the latest in 3D modelling and 3D scanning of sites. The team uses a “first-time-right” philosophy which is achieved by primarily taking advantage of the latest technology available.

Electrical Services

Electrical Engineering

Our electrical and power engineering department specialises in extensive oil and gas, petrochemical, power generation and distribution together with water and wastewater treatment industries and mining. Working extensively with other engineering departments to provide integrated solutions within the electrical scope. This includes power generation, transmission, and distribution. Our team has experience in substation design of up to 220kV in system design, protection selection and implementation, execution of specialist electrical power system studies and modelling.

Instrumental services

Instrumentation & Control Engineering

The instrumentation and control engineering department have professionals with considerable experience within the oil and gas, petrochemical, power generation and distribution, water and wastewater treatment industries and mining. Instrumentation and control scopes include:

  • DCS/ESD/F&G system architecture and definition.
  • Analogue/smart/field-bus technology selection.
  • Integration of 3rd party devices (e.g. machine monitoring and control systems, anti-surge control systems, tank measurement and gauging, and custody transfer systems).
  • APC (Advanced Process Control) using advanced techniques.
  • Selection of field measurement devices and migration from obsolete control systems to new “state of the art” plant integrated controls systems via HOT transfer techniques.
